Miriam G. Valls, 96, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at The Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero. Born in Forest Hills, she retired from Syracuse University. She was a daily communicant of St. Joseph's Church and member of its funeral guild and Golden Agers. She was also active with the National Wildlife Federation.
The family thanks the staff at The Cottages for their tender love and care.
Miriam was predeceased in 2013 by her husband of 62 years, Charles, whom she married on June 16, 1951; parents, Louis and Elizabeth Domiano; and brother, Frank Domiano.
Surviving are her sons, Frank (Donna) of Onondaga, Thomas of Camillus, and William (Dahlia) of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Blake and Brett (Laura), both of Cincinnati, OH; great-grandson, Elliott; sister-in-law, Alice Domiano of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 13 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Miriam will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
