Milica (Yankulovich) Dudevski, 88, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by her daughter, daughter-in-law, her sisters and family.
Born in Velushina, Macedonia on August 19, 1929, she married Alex (Aco) Dudevski from Kumanovo, Macedonia. Mr. & Mrs. Dudevski, their daughter, and two sons, lived in Macedonia until they emigrated to the U.S. in 1957.
The Dudevskis settled in Syracuse where they were reunited with her parents, Marko and Velika Yankulovich, and her five sisters, four of whom were also married and had their own families. Upon moving to Syracuse, she was briefly employed by D'Jimas Furs where she hand sewed fur coats. She and her husband then joined the family business, Liberty Market, in Syracuse and subsequently Liberty Deli, as partners in the family business until 2002.
Milica was devoted to her family and her church. She was an active member of St. George Macedonian Church. She loved to cook, bake, knit and crochet.
Milica was predeceased by her husband, Alex, in 1991; son, Sam, in 1978; great-grandson, Wyatt Bonnell, in 2015; and her son, Zoran, in 2016.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Dudevski; and daughter-in-law, Gordana (Zoran) Dudevski, both of Camillus; grandchildren, Alexandra, Sam, Jennifer (Fred) Bonnell, and Jackie (Mike) Scott; great-grandchildren, Sidney Bonnell, Madison Scott, and Benjamin Bonnell; sisters, Luba (Slavejko) Aleksovski, Zoya Stefan, Menka (Peter) Ristevski, and Diane Sofie (Nikola) Paunovski; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends may call Friday, September 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A Trisagion Prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 23 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. in St. George Macedonian Church, 5083 Onondaga Rd., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. George Macedonian Church.
