Mildred Wesolowski Horrigan, 91, of Camillus, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dunkirk, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and graduated from Vocational High School. Mildred was employed with Tobin and Lorenzo restaurants for over 20 years and previously worked for GE as a parts assembler. She was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid gardener, she loved floral arranging. Mildred enjoyed knitting, sewing, but above all, enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, William Horrigan in 2001; daughter, Ellen L. Horrigan Cowher in 2014; grandson, Phillip Jackson in 1979; and son-in-law, Eugene Burning in 2005. Surviving are her daughters, Leslie A. Horrigan Peterson of Syracuse, Barbara A. Horrigan of Tucson, AZ, Deborah J. Horrigan Burning of Vernon, and Robin L. Horrigan Michalski (Geoffrey Wright) of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Sister Anne Horrigan of Johnson City; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to Bernadette Roberson and Hospice of CNY for their loving care and compassion given to Mildred. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, March 19 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
