Miki Moreira, 97, of Solvay, passed away Saturday at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of Solvay, she was a 1942 graduate of Solvay High School and retired in 1973 after 25 years with GE. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. She enjoyed feeding stray animals, baking and crocheting.
Miki had many friendships with her neighbors in Solvay. Her wishes were to have these words written: "I wish to thank all my wonderful friendly neighbors in Solvay who have kept me safe and helped me in so many ways for so long. May God Bless every one of you. I love you all."
Miki was predeceased by her sister, Luisa Moreira; and sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Nicholas Alfonsetti.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be private. Miki will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
