Michele Albin, 66, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at home. Born in Catskill, NY, she resided in Windham, NY and moved to the Syracuse area in 1973. Michele graduated from Windham-Ashland-Jewitt High School and received an associate degree in music from Onondaga Community College. She worked at various places but found her true joy being a housewife and mother. Michele enjoyed crafting, stamping, and creating greeting cards. She loved the outdoors, and many times could be found gardening, bicycling, and hiking. Above all, Michele cherished spending time with her family.
Michele was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Thelma Laterza; and brother-in-law, Greg Haner.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Ron; son, Chris of Syracuse; sisters, Beverly Laterza of Windham, Shiela Laterza (Vinay Singh) of NC, Susan Haner of Coxsackie, NY, and Karen Tompkins of FL; brothers, Michael Laterza of Windham, and James (Kristy) Laterza of GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, March 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Michele will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners.
