Michele Ann Coogan

Michele Ann Coogan, 63, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. She graduated with honors from Hobart William Smith College in 1976 and received her master's degree from Cortland College. Michele was a dedicated teacher for the Auburn Public School District starting in 1976 and retired from Seward Elementary School. She was a proud volunteer and donor for the Women's Rights National Park in Seneca Falls.

Michele was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Coogan.

Surviving are her loving and dedicated father, Howard Coogan; children, Alexander and Claire Shafer; sister, Rebecca Coogan; brother-in-law, Daniel Brooks; and nephew, Lucas Brooks.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
