Michael Robert Linton, 24, of Camillus, passed away Monday, June 20 in Boston, MA. He was born in Columbia, MD and lived in Camillus since 2004. He was a graduate of West Genesee High School where he was a member of the symphony, and varsity lacrosse and wrestling teams. Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Vermont in 2020. He was an avid snowboarder, club lacrosse athlete for UVM, talented musician, voracious reader, and lover of film. Most of all, he enjoyed traveling, hiking, and spending time with his friends and family.
Surviving are his mother, Kathryn Knapp Linton of Camillus; father, David Linton of Tully; sister, Maggie Linton of Camillus; brother, Patrick Linton of Camillus; paternal grandmother, Mary (Miguel) Rodriguez-Gort of Largo, FL; maternal grandparents, Robert and Anne Knapp of Camillus; and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, June 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
