Michael R. Reber, 48, of Central Square, passed away Wednesday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of West Genesee High School and attended SUNY Brockport. Mike was employed by Clinton’s Ditch Co-op Co. for two years and was formerly employed by Matt Roe - State Farm Insurance for 10 years. He was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed spending time on Oneida Lake. He had the ability to make everyone laugh and was the life of the party. Mike loved spending time with his family, especially his children, and his spontaneous vacations with them.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, Patricia and Allen Reber.
Surviving are his wife of seven years, the former Jody Bronner; son, Brady; daughter, Jenna; sister, Kristen (Rich) Guertin of Syracuse; brother, Tim (Diana Marowski) of Maryland; best mother in-law and father-in-law, Tom and Mary Ann (best baker) Bronner; brothers-in-law, Tom (Missy) Bronner and Jason (Allison) Bronner, both of Central Square, and Tracy (Jennifer) Bronner of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Brewerton Fire Department and Ambulance, and Missy Bronner and family, for all their effort and help.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 2 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Mike will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery.
