Michael Lee Gotch, 72, of Camillus, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018. Born in Oswego, he moved with his family to Syracuse in 1963 and resided and worked in California for over 40 years. Michael retired and returned to Syracuse in 2014 to care for his mother and be with his family. A graduate of West Genesee High School, Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts from Parsons College in 1968. He was an Army veteran and owned Michael Gotch Presents in Los Angeles, CA for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling and fine dining, but above all, loved spending time with family and friends.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Michael Gotch, in 1998; and brother-in-law, Nicholas DeTota, in 1999.
Surviving are his mother, Marjorie of Syracuse; sisters, Patricia DeTota of Syracuse, Judy Gotch of Camillus and Susan (Chris) Bowman of Syracuse; brother, Daniel of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and one great-niece.
Michael will be greatly missed by his nephew, Andrew Bowman, with whom he had a special bond.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 28 at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. A private burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
