Michael J. Gallagher, 55, of Jordan, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in Camillus since 1976. He attended Holy Ghost Prep. School in PA for two years and was a graduate of CBA. Michael received his bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's University and master's degree from SUNY Oswego. He was employed for 20 years as a food broker and 10 years as a teacher with the Jordan-Elbridge Central School District. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and ran the Pope's Grove annual golf tournament. Michael was predeceased by his mother, Imelda. Surviving are his father, Joseph Gallagher of Camillus; sister, Imelda (Michael) Greene of Syracuse; brother, Kevin (Judy) Gallagher of Drexel Hill, PA; nephews, Michael and Joseph Greene; nieces, Bridget Greene and Tanya Robinson; and his dog, Bubba. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, November 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
