Michael Bradley Gibson, Sr., 55, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Corcoran High School. He was the owner of Extra Mile Painting and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Michael played lacrosse for the Onondaga Nation Redhawks for many years, enjoyed golfing at Pine Grove and playing corn hole, darts and bowling. Above all, he loved family activities and spending time with his four boys.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Marion Gibson.
Surviving are his wife of ten years, the former Shannon Walsh; children, Michael Jr., Brenden, Kobie and Chayton; siblings, Valerie Sarabia of California, Don (Mary) Taylor, Robert Taylor, Winona (Chuck) Davis, Mark (Kathy) Gibson, Wayne (Charisse) Gibson, Dawn (Kevin) Banks and Bonnie (Rhonda) Gibson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Lynn Walsh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, October 5, from 2 to 4 pm at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 4:30 pm. The family requests that masks be worn.
