Mary Waverchak McGraw, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at The Centers at Camillus. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was born on Sunday, October 29, 1922 and was the daughter of Paul Waverchak and Mary Zory Waverchak. She was a graduate of Vocational High School. Mary retired in 1982 from AT&T after more than 30 years. She was a former communicant of St. Stephen's Church and Most Holy Rosary Church and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was a member of the AT&T Pioneers of America and also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Waverchak. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and James Mack of Syracuse and Cynthia and Stanley Harwzinske of Cortland; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Charlene McGraw of Skaneateles; sister, Margaret Antos of Syracuse; grandchildren, David Mack, Maureen Catone, Tracey Hall, Christine Dilley, Katherine McCook, Elizabeth Perry and Emily McGraw; great-grandchildren, Connor and Colin Catone, Carolina McGraw, Monica and Margaret Dilley, Cyrus Hall and Zoe LeFever; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, December 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 5 at 10 a.m. in Most Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Frederick Mannara officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
