Mary V. Callahan

Mary V. Callahan, 98, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Loretto. Born in Syracuse on Tuesday, March 28, 1911, she was the daughter of Carl Barnello and Carmella Mastraccio Barnello. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of Vocational High School and former communicant of Our Lady of Solace Church. Mary enjoyed space travel, science, gardening and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, John Callahan and sisters, Milly Petrotch and Jenny Ungaro. Surviving are her niece, Beverly (Lee) Blanding of Virginia; several great nieces and one great-nephew. Services will be private. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W.
