Mary Trepa Rurka, 83, of Camillus, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at home. Born in Syracuse on Friday, March 17, 1922, she was the daughter of Stanley Trepa and Eve Michonska. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse-Camillus area. Mary was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was also a member of the West Side Seniors and the Sacred Heart Seniors. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Elwyn Roosevelt of Alabama and Deborah and Mark Rudy of Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Lucille Rurka of Liverpool; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Stanley who died in 1980. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Tuesday, January 24, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Syracuse.
