Mary “Betty” Luczka, 97, of Camillus, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she graduated from Vocational High School. Betty was employed as a telephone operator for 20 years before retiring from McMillan Book Company in 1963. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Marie Schneid; sister, Rita Svoboda; and first husband, Philip Lombardo.
Surviving are her husband of 59 ½ years, John; daughter, Janet (Michael) Fedor of Indiana; son, Stephen (Cindy) Luczka of Pennellville; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. We will be following the NYS guidelines regarding capacity and social distancing. Face coverings are required.
A funeral Mass will follow at 12 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Camillus. Betty will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
