Mary Masley Harrison, 79, of Solvay, died Sunday, October 15, 2000 at home. Born in Auburn on Tuesday, July 19, 1921, she was the daughter of Metro and Anna Masley and lived in Auburn for 23 years before moving to Solvay. Mary was a graduate of East High School and Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a nurse for 45 years at Crouse Hospital before doing private-duty nursing. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church where she was a member of the English Choir and Ukrainian Women's Auxiliary. She was a former member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Auburn. Mary was a 40-year member of the America Nurses Association, a 30-year member of Nurses Professional Registry and a member of the Solvay Senior Citizens. She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. Mary's husband, Paul, died March 8, 1981. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Cericola of Solvay; two sons, Paul A. of Oswego and Robert M. of Hastings; two sisters, Julie Macko of Seneca Knolls and Helen Macko of Fairmount; two brothers, Myron and Metro Masley, both of Auburn and six grandchildren. Services, including Panakhyda, were held at the Buranich Funeral Home and in Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn.
