Mary Lou Preske, 82, of Fairmount, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. She was a lifetime resident of Syracuse and employed with Kemper Insurance for many years. Mary Lou was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, past president of the Camillus senior citizens and was a volunteer for CatFISH. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1991; and brother, George Slack, in 2002. Surviving are her son, Robert (Karen O'Hare) Preske; daughters, Pamela (Doug) Kay of Baldwinsville and Nancy Coffey-Newell (Daniel) of Fairmount; brother, Leonard (Lucy) Slack of Solvay; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Saturday, February 20 at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home and 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated.
