Mary Jane Snyder Murphy, 95, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at home. Born and raised in Syracuse, she resided in California for 35 years before returning to Syracuse. Mary Jane was a graduate of Central High School and professional assistant in the medical field, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed reading, traveling and trips to the Turning Stone Casino but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband, Francis; son, Mark; daughter-in-law, Debbie Murphy; brothers, Matt, Maynard and Frederick Snyder; and sisters, Martha Heater and Frances Snyder. Surviving are her sons, James (Diane) Murphy of Colorado, Matthew (RaeDean) Murphy of California and Patrick Murphy of Nevada; grandchildren, Tim, Katie and Amber Murphy, Lauren Murphy-Lausten and Erin Murphy-Franklin; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, February 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
