Mary Frances “Fran” Bogan, 73, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Youngstown, Ohio on Saturday, February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of Leo Furlong and Margret Corpa Furlong. After spending her early years in Youngstown, Ohio, she lived in Buffalo until moving to the Syracuse area in 1976. Mary was a graduate of Ursuline High School and communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Andrew Furlong. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Tod J. Bogan; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Melinda Bogan of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim Rafte of Syracuse; sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and William Ladenslager of Allentown, Pennsylvania; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Justine Furlong of Allentown, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Carol Furlong of Youngstown, Ohio; grandchildren, Danielle and Marion Rafte, Chad and Ciara Bogan; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 30 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church with Msgr. George F. Sheehan officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.
