Mary E. Droll Richards, 94, of Camillus, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at home. Born in Lima, Ohio, she was a graduate of Vaughnsville High School and moved to Syracuse in 1952. Mary retired in 1984 after 25 years with GE and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting, needle point, reading, and spending time with her family. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Willis and Belle Watkins; brother, Raymond Watkins; and stepdaughter, Janet Plants. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Robert; son, Michael (Barbara) Droll of Canastota; daughters, Terry (Donald) Dixon of Syracuse and Beth (Robert) Beers of Brewerton; stepson, Robert (Rosie) Richards Jr. of No. Syracuse; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Friday, October 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
