Mary Cutler Kavney

Mary Cutler Kavney, 60, of Geddes, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Community-General Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, August 8, 1948, she was the daughter of Frederick Walter Cutler and Catherine Veronica Guiney Cutler. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and graduated from Westhill High School. Mary was employed with Kaufmann's Department Store for over 10 years. She was a former communicant of Holy Family Church. Mary enjoyed reading, playing with her dogs, Gus and Bella, and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her father, Frederick, in 1990. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Brian; son, Mark (Patricia Sgroi) of Cato; mother, Catherine Cutler of Geddes; sisters, Veronica (Bill Starkloff) Cutler of Ocean City, Maryland and Kathleen Cutler of Geddes; brothers, Bart of Geddes, David and Malvin (Pamela), both of Denver, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Gus and Bella. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Sunday, November 30, 2008 from noon to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
