Mary Crowley Detor, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School. Mary was a former communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and president of its Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards with her "Club Girls." Mary was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Crowley; and brothers, Peter, William and Charles Crowley. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Robert; daughter, Kathleen Dunne of Washington Crossing, PA; sons, Robert (Sally) of Long Island, Joseph (Lyn) of Liverpool, Peter (Vicki) of Onondaga Hill, Edward (Diane) of Syracuse, and Daniel (Mary) of Buffalo; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Nadia for her loving care and compassion for Mary over the past couple years. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, January 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
