Mary C. Tackman

Mary C. Tackman, 70, of Camillus, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Floral Park on Tuesday, September 1, 1936, she was the daughter of Anton Ferdinand Tackman and Jane Monica Connolly Tackman. She lived in Floral Park before moving to Glencove and then to Syracuse over 30 years ago. Mary graduated from Le Moyne College. She was employed by the Syracuse Developmental Center. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Surviving are her brother, Paul Tackman of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Ann Dunlop of Cumming, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Arrangements were by the Buranich Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central New York, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 or to the S.P.C.A., 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
