Mary Ann McNamara Fox, 79, of Syracuse, died Saturday, February 24, 2007. Born on Friday, November 18, 1927, she was the daughter of Clara Machut and Ambrose Llewellyn McNamara. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she attended Most Holy Rosary School and graduated from Onondaga Community College. Mary Ann was employed for many years in government service, retiring from the VA Medical Center. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Her interests included writing and being with her family. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine Fox and Coleen Fox, both of Syracuse, Mary Ellen and Bob Fiorille of Honeoye and Nancy and Rudy Reed, of Syracuse; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Kathleen Fox of Camillus; brother, Ambrose "Jerry" McNamara of Clay; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; half brother, Robert McNamara of Pittsford and half sister, Sally Weber of Henderson. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
