Mary Ann (Montague) Kopp, 82, of Camillus, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Marcellus, she graduated from Marcellus Central High School in 1955. Mary Ann studied Italian and worked in Brindisi, Italy as a Red Cross aide. She was also employed with Michigan Millers Life Insurance Co. for eight years. She spent most of her life in the Camillus, Cicero, and Taunton areas.
Her life was dedicated to the love and care of family, friends and her dogs. Mary Ann was a person to be counted upon for both inspiration and loyal support.
Surviving are her husband, Dick; son, John Devine of Marcellus; daughters, Mary Helen Hadden and Barbara Ann Wisneski, both of Solvay; sister, Jeannine Campbell of Memphis; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Julie (Marco) Kopp and Paul Kopp, both of Italy; and several cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, February 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 6 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Mary Ann will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
