Mary Ann Daniszewski, 86, of Camillus, passed peacefully in her home and rejoined those who went before her on December 21, 2019. She was born on July 30, 1933 to the late Mary and Nicholas Fatcheric. Mary Ann graduated from Warners High School and Central City Business. She was employed as a secretary at General Electric Co., Cryomech, Inc. and United University Professions before retiring in 2003. A communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Mary Ann served as Eucharistic minister and lector. She was also an active Boy Scout leader, Girl Scout leader and member of the Mothers’ Club and Sacred Heart Seniors.
For the last 55 years, Mary Ann met monthly, then biweekly with good friends for a game of Bridge and companionship. She treasured these women and the moments that were shared. Recently, Mary Ann was asked what brought her joy. Her reply, “my family being happy.”
Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Deacon Joseph R. Daniszewski; son, John E. Daniszewski; and brother, John Fatcheric.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Linda (Ronald) Napierkowski and Mary (John Kenney) Daniszewski; sons, Joseph (Leah) and Jerome (Barbara); daughter-in-law, Kathleen; sister-in-law, Rosemary Fatcheric; brother-in-law, Joseph Vincent; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call Friday, December 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 28 at 11 a.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Ave., Syracuse. Mary Ann will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
