Mark Peter Kaminski, 27, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at home due to complications of diabetes. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of West Genesee High School and earned a BS in Criminal Justice from Medaille College in Buffalo. Mark was employed with Jamesville Penitentiary for three years. He was a running enthusiast and also coached basketball and baseball. Mark enjoyed making others happy.
Mark was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Nick and Elizabeth Kaminski; and maternal grandmother, Anne Sullivan.
Surviving are his parents, David and Mary Pat (Sullivan) Kaminski of Camillus; brothers, Joseph Kaminski of Farmville, VA and Steven Kaminski of Albany; maternal grandfather, Thomas Sullivan of Lady Lake, FL; aunt, Sue (Richard) Bucci of Solvay; uncles, Dan (Bernadette) Sullivan of Simsbury, CT and Kevin (Margaret) Sullivan of Camillus; and cousins, Nick, Dennis, Nicholas, Camille; Devin, Dylan and Brenna.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, October 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 15 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Mark will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
