Mark D. Moth

Mark D. Moth, 59, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse on May 2, 1964, to Jean Moth and the late Fred Moth, he was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mark was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having served as a financial operations manager for Milton CAT for over 38 years. His contributions and expertise were greatly admired by his colleagues and company.

In his spare time, Mark was a passionate supporter of SU football, cheering on the team with great enthusiasm. He also found great joy in being an ice hockey referee for various youth, high school, and college teams. Mark’s dedication to the sport and to promoting fair play will be sorely missed by both players and fellow referees. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Mark was predeceased by his father, Fred; and sister, Lori Moth.

Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Kathy; daughters, Katie (Rob Morton) Moth of Syracuse, Lindsay (Erick) Rice of Baldwinsville, and Kristen Moth of Baldwinsville; mother, Jean of Camillus; sister, Lynn Moth of Camillus; granddaughter, Emily Rice; two grandchildren on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark’s family was his pride and joy and they will forever cherish his memory.

Visitation to celebrate Mark’s life will be held Thursday, December 28, from 4  to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
