Mark Mitchell Gibson

December 26, 1950 — December 8, 2020

Mark Mitchell Gibson, 69, of Camillus, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 due to complications of diabetes and COVID-19. Born in Kansas City, MO, he grew up in the town of Marshall, MO before moving to Syracuse in 1973. Mark was one of the original owners of The Bebop Shop music store in Liverpool. He worked in retail music and most recently at Boxcar Press. Mark was a talented guitar player and vocalist. He was a member of The Tarzan Brothers, the Ron Spencer Band, as well as other groups.

Mark was predeceased by his younger brother, Michael Gene Gibson.

Surviving are his children, Katharine E. (Brett Hobin) Gibson of Baldwinsville and Michael S. (Rachel) Gibson of Camillus; sister, Nancy G. (Raymond) Thompson of Marshall, MO; grandson, Samuel W. Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.

A public memorial will be held at a later date, post-vaccine.
