Marjorie F. Stoyan, 89, of Fairmount, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 peacefully at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born on Tuesday, April 5, 1921 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Fred Doyle and Grace Dobson Doyle. She lived most of her life in Syracuse. Marjorie retired from Addis Co. after 25 years in cosmetic sales. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting and loved spending time with her family. A very kind and giving person, Marjorie was a wonderful mother and proud grandmother. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, George “Bill” Sr. in 2005; and son-in-law, George Petty Jr. in 2007. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Petty of Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, George and Susan Jr. of Liverpool; grandchildren, Lori (Paul) Keyes, Chris Petty, Matthew (Amy) Petty, Alissandra and Elizabeth Stoyan; great-grandsons, Jason, Jaryd and Jeremy Keyes, and Eamonn and Ethan Petty; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Tom Culkin of Syracuse and Marge Zimmer of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania; nephews, Michael and Dan Culkin, James and John Zimmer; and her loving cat, Webster. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 14 at the funeral home and 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Marjorie will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Eligia, Barb and Irmina, and the staff on 3N at Van Duyn Home & Hospital for all their loving care they gave Marjorie.
