Marion Margaret Hunt, 92, of Fairmount, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Loretto. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Central High School. She retired from the New York Telephone Co. in 1984 after 44 years and was a member of the New York Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed traveling. Her favorite destination was Hawaii. She also enjoyed collecting spoons, thimbles as souvenirs from her travels, and music boxes. An avid card player, she enjoyed a good pitch game, as well as reading and jigsaw puzzles. Marion was predeceased by her sisters, Hazel Kincaid and Ruth Swetman. Surviving are her brother, Albert M. Hunt; brother-in-law, Curt Kincaid; nieces and nephews, Shirley (Tom) Eagan, Sandy Fillingham, Diane (Brian) Elwell, Linda (Mike Cahill) Marsh, Pat (Jim) McNamara, Ray (Bonnie) Swetman, Deb (Dan) Yerdon and Karen (Kevin) McGrew; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 24 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, November 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
