Marion “Tootsie” C. LaVallee, 76, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary. Marion waitressed with Top of the Hill Restaurant for 20 years and also for Tuscarora Country Club and was a former communicant of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and traveling. She also loved animals and spending time with her family. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Maurice, in 1997; and brother, William Gleason. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon LaVallee of Baldwinsville; son, Tim (Tamara) LaVallee; sister, Rita (Andy) Szpak; and brother, John Gleason, all of Camillus; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Ann" Gleason of Camillus; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, October 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26 at 9:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Marion will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
