Marilyn Margaret Tracy, 79, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital. A vibrant and lifetime resident of the Syracuse community, she excelled academically and socially, graduating from Vocational High School in 1962 where she was the captain of the cheerleading squad and the Vikettes. Marilyn dedicated over a decade of her life as an administrative assistant at MetLife. Following her time at MetLife, she embarked on a new chapter in her career, serving as a human resource manager at Bon-Ton in Camillus and later as an administrative assistant at Krzyzak Eyecare.
Marilyn was a communicant of Holy Family Church. In her leisure time, she found bliss in the simple pleasures of life. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, where she nurtured an array of vibrant flowers. However, Marilyn’s greatest source of happiness came from spending cherished moments with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Her love knew no bounds, and her family was the light of her life. She will be remembered for her unconditional love.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, James and Lillian Wawro; and brother, Walter Wawro.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Timothy; daughters, Danielle (Dr. Ajay) Tracy Goyal and Suzanne (Tony) Tracy Castano; grandchildren, Max and Laia Goyal, and Hailey Castano; sister, Janice (Richard) Krzyzak; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-law family.
