Marilyn "Lynne" J. Watson

Marilyn “Lynne” J. Watson, 88, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived in West Islip before moving to Syracuse. Lynne was a graduate of Prospect Heights High School. She was employed by Babcock & Wilcox, Inc. in NYC and formerly employed with Chubb & Son Insurance Co. She was a longtime, active member of Fairmount Community Church, where she served as deacon and was active in the Women's Fellowship. Lynne was a member of the Top Hats Dance Club since 1973. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, playing bridge and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lynne was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy J. Hartig, in 2000; granddaughter, Jenni-Lyn Watson, in 2010; and grandson, Jeffrey Wade Watson, in 2014. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Joseph; daughters, Debra (James) Prusinowski of Camillus and Janet (David) Herrington of Alexandria Bay; sons, James (Janet) of Cleveland, OH and David (Jackie) of Liverpool; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairmount Community Church United Church of Christ, 4801 W.
