Marilyn H. Conway

August 30, 1929 — October 4, 2013

Marilyn H. Conway, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Friday October 4, 2013 at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of St. Patrick's School and received a BA degree from Syracuse University. Marilyn retired from State Farm Insurance after many years and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Her life was spent devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed her time at the family camp on Lake Ontario with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, John "Hoppy" Conway, in 1999. Surviving are her daughter, Cindy (Loren) Colburn of Liverpool; son, Scott (Mary) Conway of Fabius; the lights of her life and grandsons, Chris, Brian and Jeff Colburn, and Mike and Jaime Conway; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, October 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 8 in Holy Family Church. Marilyn will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place, 7740 Meigs Rd., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
