Marilyn A. Lariviere LaPointe, 85, of Camillus, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born in Utica on Tuesday, August 15, 1922, she was the daughter of David Johnson and Madeline Morrell Johnson. After spending her early years in Utica, she moved to Syracuse in 1929. Her interests included reading, gardening in her younger years and spending time with her family. She was also one of strong faith. Marilyn's first husband, Edwin E. Lariviere, died in 1966, second husband, Donald B. LaPointe, died in 1979 and son, Donald W. Lariviere, died in 2002. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin and Claudette Lariviere of North Port, Florida and Gene and Janice Lariviere of Syracuse; daughters and son-in-law, Dolores and Vidyut Sinhji of Camillus, Melody Sanchez of Weedsport and Marcie Piscitello of Syracuse; brothers, William Reid and Daniel Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. Contributions may be made to SPCA, 5878 E.
