Marie G. Harriger, 95, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at The Commons on St. Anthony. Born in Olean, she lived in Richburg before moving to Syracuse in the late 50s. A graduate of Richburg High School, she worked at K-Mart and Ed Guth Hobbies before becoming a homemaker. Marie was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Friends Forever International. Marie enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Lester, in 1984.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary Lou Chave-Brown (Bernard Brown) of Auburn and Julia (Charles) DeLong of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
