Marian (Wright) Dodge

Marian (Wright) Dodge, 89, of Camillus, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse and Camillus areas, she was a graduate of Homer High School and attended the Juilliard School of Music in Boston.

Marian retired in 1991 from Marine Midland Bank after more than 15 years and previously was a manager for NEDCO. She had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the marimba. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and member of the Camillus Moose Club. Above all, Marian loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marian was predeceased by her brother, Sidney Fitch.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Duane; daughter, Mary Anne Wiktorowicz of Syracuse; son, Duane R. (Kathy) II of Syracuse; brother, William (Sylvia) Fitch of Preble; grandchildren, Conal, Sarah, Brandy, Kelly and Dawn; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, November 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 30 at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Marian will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
