Margaret Smith Huppman, 92, of Fairmount, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at home. Born in Syracuse, she was raised in Eastwood and was a graduate of St. Vincent de Paul High School and communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She moved to Fairmount in 1950 and became a communicant of Holy Family Church where she was active with a number of ministries and community services. In her early career, Margaret was secretary with the U.S. Government. She was secretary for Holy Family School and parish before retiring from Westhill Central School District. She enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling, gardening and going to the casinos but above all, enjoyed spending time with her family. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Bud". Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Huppman Blundell and her husband, Bruce of North Syracuse; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, May 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Tuesday, May 5 at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 p.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated.
