Margaret Rose (DeBellis) Janaro, 89, of Fairmount, passed away Monday at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place. Born in the Bronx, she graduated from Bronx High School and moved to Syracuse in 1956. Margaret retired in 1997 from Upstate Medical Parking Center. She was formerly employed with the New York Telephone Co. and also worked as a bookkeeper. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and member of the Women of the Solvay Moose Lodge. Margaret enjoyed dancing, the beach and watching her son play hockey. Above all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret was predeceased by her longtime companion, Joseph Verone; son, Christopher Janaro; granddaughter, Danielle Janaro; and sister, Rose DeCroix.
Surviving are her son, Steven of Fairmount; daughter, Andrea (William Jr.) Kisil of Marcellus; brother, Joseph DeBellis of the Bronx; grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Janaro, William Kisil III, Zachary Kisil, Andrew, David, Michael and Paul Janaro; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 11 at 10 a.m. in St. Charles ~ St. Ann’s Parish, 501 South Orchard Rd., Syracuse. Burial will be private.
