Margaret R. Moore

Margaret R. Moore, 86, of Camillus, died Monday, November 3, 2008 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Statesville, North Carolina on Friday, December 30, 1921, she was the daughter of Silas Gregory and Dessie Pratt Gregory. She lived in Statesville for 23 years and Newport News, Virginia for three years before moving to Camillus. Margaret was a secretary at West Genesee High School for 23 years, retiring in 1995 and was previously employed by Syracuse University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Memphis and the Ladies' Bible Study. She was also a former member of the Home Bureau. She enjoyed canning, baking and ceramics. Her husband, Harry Moore Jr., died April 11, 1979. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dick Bruns of Camillus; sons and daughter-in-law, Harry Moore III and Rick and Ruthanne Moore, all of Camillus; grandchildren, Natalie and Carly Moore and Dana and Andy Bruns. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 in the First Baptist Church of Memphis. Friends may call Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Memphis, 6425 Bennetts Corners Rd., Memphis, NY 13112.
