Margaret “Margie” Parrilli, 93, of Camillus, passed away on Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital. Born in East Orange, NJ, she grew up in the Bronx and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Margaret settled in the Syracuse area in 1957 and dedicated over 25 years to West Genesee Central School District working in food service. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was a member of the Trinity Choir at the church. Margaret enjoyed playing Bunco, being part of the walking group at the mall, and partaking in senior bus trips to the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; companion, Nate Schibilia; parents, Carmen and Mary Cushing; sister, Clementine Petrizzo; and brother, Frank Cushing.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda (James) Hogan of Cicero; sons, William and Mark, both of Syracuse, and Matthew (Laurel) of Pittsford; grandchildren, Andrea (Tim), Gregory (Erin), Nicholas (Kyleigh), and Andrew (Michelle); great-granddaughters, Catalina and Sienna; and several nieces and nephews.
To celebrate Margaret’s life, family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Syracuse.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
