Margaret Macko Hickey Ososki, of Westvale, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of Panko Macko and Anna Pjtak Macko. Margaret lived in Westvale since 1950 and graduated from Vocational High School. She retired in 1975 after 15 years with the Bishop Ludden Faculty House. A communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church, Margaret also was past president of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was past president of both the Ukrainian Women's Auxiliary and the Newcomer Remocwen Club. She was a volunteer at Community-General Hospital and member of the Fairmount Women's Bowling League. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Hickey in 1956; second husband, Edward Ososki, in 2004, and daughter, Beth Malatin, in 1996. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Bill Conklin of Syracuse; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Betty Hickey of Merritt Island, Florida and David and Rita Hickey of Bastrop, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Macko; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Monday, September 15, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
