Margaret M. Faulkner, 74, of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at James Square Health and Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Buffalo, she was raised in Syracuse and lived in Sterling since 1999. A graduate of West Genesee High School, she was employed with the Red Creek Central School District for five years.
As a loving wife, Margaret's life was devoted to children, her younger sisters, motherless friends, foster children, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, daycare toddlers, and troubled students as a bus monitor.
Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Charlotte; brother, Joseph McNamara; brother-in-law, John Aquotta; and nephews, John "J" Aquotta and David McNamara.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Harrison; daughter, Kathleen Jordan of Sterling; sons, Christopher Faulkner of Brewerton and Trevor Silvernail of Sterling; sisters, Judy and Christine; sister-in-law, Connie; brothers, Stephen and Edward McNamara; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Margaret's name to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
