Margaret K. Mazur, 99, of Fairmount, passed away Wednesday at Francis House. Born in Fair Haven, she retired from General Electric Co. after more than 30 years. Margaret was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and Holy Family Church. Following her retirement, she moved to Pharr, TX and then returned to Central New York in 1992 following the death of her husband, Stanley. She especially enjoyed her friends at the Senior Center on Onondaga Hill.
In addition to her husband, Margaret was predeceased in 2011 by her sister, Edna DeRose; and great-nephew, Matthew DeRose.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Smith, Tony (Linda) DeRose, Dan (Kathy) DeRose, Kathy Gonzalez, Janice Wolek, Gary Wolek, Ronald Wolek and Brian Wolek; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Services will be private. Margaret will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Geddes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
