Meg Hoffman, 89, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at Upstate Community Hospital. Born in NYC, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Meg was the owner of the Neugent Income Tax Service, retiring in 1990 after 15-plus years. She was a member of a book and writing club and a couple of her short stories were published. Meg enjoyed playing bridge and gardening. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Meg was predeceased by her husband, Neal; and son, Joseph Cardinal.
Surviving are daughter, Rita (James) Foster of Camillus; sons, Vincent Cardinal and Christopher Cardinal both of Syracuse, Francis Cardinal of Camillus and Matthew (Eric Wepprecht) Cardinal of Palm Springs, CA; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
It was Meg's wish to donate her body to SUNY Health Science Center.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A memorial service will follow at noon in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Bank of CNY, 7066 Interstate Island Rd., Syracuse, NY 13209.
