Margaret H. Guido, 94, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at ElderWood Health Care at Birchwood. Born on Sunday, September 15, 1918, she was the daughter of Charles Hernlein and Mabel (Sturm) Hernlein. She lived in Buffalo until moving to Syracuse in 2000. Margaret was a senior stenographer with the NY State Department of Labor and member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Buffalo. She was also past matron of the Osseo (Horizon #879) chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Langdon Lord, in 1979; and second husband, Gerard Guido, in 1995. Survivors include Linda and Donald Steer, and Kevin, Brian, Christopher, Sean, Irina and Nathaniel Bookman. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, February 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Grinnals officiating. Margaret will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W.
