Marcus M. Burdick, 62, of Camillus, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Liverpool High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Siena College. Marcus was employed with MONY/AXA Equitable for 27 years and formerly worked for DMS. He was very passionate about his volunteer work with Feed My Starving Children and Paige’s Butterfly Run. He was also a volunteer and member of Vineyard Church. Marcus enjoyed fitness, CrossFit, running and landscaping. He was a third-degree black belt in martial arts and played and coached soccer for many years. Above all, Marcus loved his family and making everyone laugh.
Marcus was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Nancy.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, the former Shannon Doyle; children, Jennifer (Matthew) Moore of Liverpool, Robert Kelsey of Liverpool and Katie (Chris) Chapin of Fulton; sisters, Lori (Clark) Teater and Dena (John) Drain; brother, Anthony (Toni) Burdick; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, September 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
Services will be Tuesday, September 22 at 10 a.m. in the Vineyard Church, 312 Lakeside Rd., Syracuse.
