On June 19, 2021, Marcus Albert Valerino, 30, of Syracuse, was taken to Heaven far too soon, following a hard-fought battle with substance use disorder. He was a very loving loyal man and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Marcus had many interests including observing weather patterns, soccer, snowboarding, skateboarding, golfing and playing guitar. He was a 2009 graduate of West Genesee High School and attended various trade schools. He was a gifted mechanic, welder, woodworker and landscaper.
Marcus was predeceased by his grandfather, Albert J. Valerino Sr.; and his stepmother, Robyn Galvin.
Surviving are his sons, Damien Cooper Valerino and Adrian Marcus Valerino; parents, Albert J. Valerino Jr. and Susan E. (Bobbett) Valerino; brothers, Adam and Zachery Valerino; maternal grandparents, Gary and Viola Bobbett; paternal grandparents, Maury and Ruth (Valerino) Infantino; many loving and supportive aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends, including Peter Crane.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Marcus will be laid to rest in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Elmcrest Children’s Center, 228 Lafayette Rd., Syracuse, NY 13205, in memory of Marcus.
