Marcia (Hooper) Valerino
September 12, 1940 — August 19, 2018
Marcia (Hooper) Valerino, 77, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area.
Marcia loved music, crocheting, rides to Skaneateles and trips to the casino, but above all loved spending time with her family and friends.
Marcia was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Henrietta Hooper; son, Gene Valerino, in 2013; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her loving husband of over 59 years, Tony; daughter, Tina Drake (Rick Worden) of Holly Springs, NC; son, Steven (Heather) Valerino of Onondaga Hill; grandchildren, Nikki, Jessi, Brian, and Danny Drake, Sophia, Morgan, and Carly Valerino; and several nieces and nephews.
Marcia will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Services will be private.
Marcia will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Warners.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Solvay-Geddes Community Youth Center, 1010 Woods Rd., Syracuse, NY 13209.
